Review by hotel critic
As an avid traveler and food enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of staying at Irishotels during a gourmet getaway in Kyiv. Despite some shortcomings, the culinary offerings at the hotel truly shined. My dining experience at Varenechnaya Katyusha, the hotel's traditional restaurant located just a short walk away, was a delightful journey into Ukrainian cuisine. The cozy ambiance and attentive service made for a memorable evening. I indulged in piping hot varenyky, traditional dumplings filled with a variety of savory and sweet fillings, each bursting with flavor and served with a dollop of sour cream. It was a truly authentic taste of the region that left me craving more. After a satisfying meal, I ventured to Pub Chemodan for a nightcap, immersing myself in the local pub culture. The aroma of freshly poured pints and the lively chatter of fellow patrons created a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of exploration. As for breakfast, I opted for Pincello Pizza's quick bites, which provided a convenient and tasty start to my day. Though the breakfast at the hotel was on the pricier side, the diverse selection of local and international dishes at these nearby eateries more than made up for it.In conclusion, Irishotels may have its flaws, but its proximity to a variety of dining options offering delicious local fare truly sets it apart. As a freelance journalist passionate about exploring Eastern European cultures, I found my gastronomic journey in Kyiv to be both enriching and satisfying.
